Canon XL1s and GL2 Campaign










Project Details:

The creative solution of the campaign encompassed Flash and GIF formats, in seven different sizes.

Click-through rates were well above the average and greatly exceeded the client's expectations- the campaign encouraged Canon to add the Internet as an integral component of their ongoing marketing plan.







There's a great deal of "clutter" in Internet advertising and you have to be sure that your message will be delivered to the right audience- and that the message you deliver with be compelling enough for them to answer your "call to action".

Canon's Video Division had not used Internet advertising for years, concerned about its effectiveness. For a campaign for the top-of-the-line XL1s and GL2 camcorders, DG Interactive began by diligently researching the right outlets to reach the target audiences. Added to that research was striking creative, tailored to the identified markets to communicate the versatility and adaptability of the Canon camcorders.

The final component was a carefully determined media plan and buy, designed to maximize exposure on the correct sites at the correct time.
