"Behind the Scenes" Canon XL1s

Project Details:
The design of the program, disc and sleeve references that of the XL1s website and Internet advertising for consistency and continuity.
The main menu offers the user the choice of playing a single chapter, the program in order, or as a loop for point-of-sale applications.

The capabilities of the top-of-the line Canon XL1s camcorder are well known to many top filmmakers, including Steven Soderbergh.
In introducing a new series of mid-range camcorders, Canon produced a TV commercial, directed by Jon Schwartzman. Of course, the XL1s was chosen to shoot the spot.
To bring the viewer behind the scenes, a "making of" video was shot during the shoot, also with the XL1s. It captured every step of the production process, from concept meetings, design and shooting to editing.
Throughout, interviews with the director and cameraman explain how the XL1s gave them unprecedented creative control and results.
